Benefit of Doggie Daycare

Did you know that there is a benefit to having your dog attend doggie daycare? Even if it is just once in a while or during the school year while your kids are at school during the day. Here is 5 great reason’s why it is a great idea to take drop your dog off for daycare even just once or twice a week.

  1. One of the primary reasons that dogs can develop destructive behavior is due to boredom and separation anxiety. Daycare can help relieve the stress and boredom your dog may be experiencing when they you left home alone. This can manifest into a wide variety of destructive behaviors such as chewing, excessive barking or howling and even accidents.
  2. Learning how to socialize with other dogs and people is a vital part of your dogs training. When they are socialized it will create a positive behavior and reduces the risk of them developing aggressive and insecurities around other dogs and people. Younger dogs can learn acceptable behavior and can teach the pup how to get along with other dogs and people.
  3. Dogs also get the benefits of extra physical activity at doggie daycare. If you have a high energy dog that gets the chance to participate in extra physical activity, it will help him physically and mentally.
  4. Sending your dog to doggie daycare is often a much safer option for some pet owner, than leaving them in a crate or backyard. It can provide a pet owner a piece of mind knowing that they dog is being taken care and not worrying about them trying to escape and jump a fence.
  5. A dog who has been active and well-cared for throughout the day will naturally get tired. When a dog is tired, he tends to be more content which in turn, makes you, the owner happy as well.

Here at Lord Charlton Kennel & Pet Spa we offer daily doggie daycare rate of $25 a day, $211 for a package of 10 visits and our Monthly Unlimited visit for $400 per month. Each dog gets their own indoor/outdoor suite with visits to larger exercise runs throughout the day for some social time with our staff. They are to interact with our other guest through the safety of a fence. This protects them and our guest, while at the same time getting the opportunity to touch noses and talk.
